Copious Vomiting

Copious vomiting means vomiting large amounts of stomach contents, often repeatedly and uncontrollably. It may lead to dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, and weakness.

Korean (한국어):
**“과다 구토” / “심한 구토”**를 의미하며, 매우 많은 양의 위 내용물을 반복적으로 토하는 것을 말합니다. 탈수, 전해질 불균형, 무기력 등을 유발할 수 있습니다.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Common Causes (원인)

• Gastroenteritis (위장염)
• Early pregnancy (임신 초기)
• Bowel obstruction (장폐색)
• Food poisoning (식중독)
• Migraine (편두통)
• Side effects of medications (약물 부작용)

Complications (합병증)

• Dehydration (탈수)
• Hypokalemia (저칼륨혈증)
• Metabolic alkalosis (대사성 알칼리증)
• Esophageal tears (식도 손상, Mallory-Weiss tear)
