Stoma

English:
A stoma is a surgically created opening on the abdomen that allows waste (stool, urine, or air) to exit the body when the normal route is not possible.
Common types: colostomy, ileostomy, urostomy.

Korean (한국어):
**스토마(stoma)**는 정상적인 배출 경로가 불가능할 때, 배출물(대변, 소변, 공기)이 몸 밖으로 나올 수 있도록 복부에 외과적으로 만든 인공적인 구멍입니다.
대표 유형: 결장루(colostomy), 회장루(ileostomy), 요루(urostomy)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Key Characteristics (중요 특징)

• Stoma should be pink to red, moist, and protruding slightly
  → Healthy stoma
• Pale/blue → poor perfusion
• Dark/black → necrosis (응급)
• Excessive bleeding → abnormal
• No nerve endings → no pain expected when touching

Korean:

• 정상 스토마: 분홍~빨강색, 촉촉함, 약간 돌출
• 창백/푸름 → 혈류 감소
• 검정색 → 괴사(응급)
• 과다출혈 → 비정상
• 신경이 없어 촉진 시 통증 없음

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Patient Teaching (환자 교육)

• Skin barrier/wafer must fit snugly to prevent leakage
• Empty pouch when 1/3–1/2 full
• Avoid heavy lifting early post-op
• Avoid gas-forming foods at first (beans, carbonation)

Korean:

• 피부 보호판은 밀착되게 붙여 누출 방지
• 주머니는 1/3~1/2 찼을 때 비우기
• 수술 초기에는 무거운 물건 금지
• 초반에는 가스 많이 생기는 음식 피하기
