Transmission / 전파:

• Direct contact with lesions or infected bodily fluids / 병변이나 체액 접촉
• Sexual contact (HSV-2) / 성적 접촉 (HSV-2)

Symptoms / 증상:

• Painful vesicles or ulcers / 통증성 수포 또는 궤양
• Itching or burning sensation / 가려움 또는 작열감
• Fever or malaise (sometimes) / 발열, 권태감 (드물게)

Diagnosis / 진단:

• Clinical evaluation / 임상 평가
• PCR or viral culture / PCR 또는 바이러스 배양
• Serology for antibodies / 항체 혈청검사

Treatment / 치료:

English: Herpes zoster is the reactivation of varicella-zoster virus (VZV) from latent infection in dorsal root ganglia, causing painful, unilateral vesicular rash along a dermatome.
Korean: 대상포진은 **수두-대상포진 바이러스(VZV)**가 척수 신경절에서 재활성화되어, 신경 분절을 따라 통증성 수포 발진을 일으키는 질환입니다.

Risk Factors / 위험 요인:

• Older age (>50) / 고령자
• Immunocompromised / 면역저하
• Stress or trauma / 스트레스 또는 외상

Symptoms / 증상:

• Pain, burning, tingling along dermatome / 신경분절을 따라 통증, 작열감, 저림
• Unilateral vesicular rash / 한쪽 수포 발진
